Kesari Bath is the delicious sweet dish receipe in south India & mostly prepared during festivals and special occassions. In Hotels it is usually served with Upma or Karabath.
- Rava/Sooji 1 cup
- Sugar 1 3/4cup.(according to your taste)
- Raisins(dry grapes) 2 tbl spns
- Cashews 1 tbl spn
- Orange color a pinch or saffron strands 7-8
- Cardamom powder ½ tea spn
Heat oil and ghee, add cashews and fry till it turns slightly brown and then add raisins. Now add water(double the measure of rava/sooji) and a pinch of orange color. When the water starts boiling add rava slowly and stirring continuously. When the rava is completely cooked add sugar and cardamom powder and keep stirring till sugar melts completely.Finally add a tbl spoon of ghee , stir and serve hot.
